Build a life that feels as good on the inside as it looks on the outside
Online and in-person therapy in Liverpool for high-achieving midlife professionals. Specialising in work stress, anxiety, impostor syndrome, and ADHD.
You look like you’re coping. It doesn’t feel that way.
From the outside, you seem capable, successful, and like you’ve got everything under control. People rely on you. You meet deadlines, keep your commitments, and somehow always find a way to make things work.
But inside, it feels very different. You’re carrying the weight of constant pressure, self-doubt, and overthinking. No matter how capable you seem, it rarely feels like you’re doing enough. Whether work stress, anxiety, impostor syndrome, or ADHD are part of the picture, you’re tired of keeping up the appearance that everything is fine.
Does this sound familiar?
Everyone else sees someone who’s capable. You feel like you’re constantly juggling expectations, and even when you achieve something, there’s barely time to enjoy it before you’re worrying about the next thing.
You’re the person everyone else depends on. You’re competent, reliable, and always there when others need you, but very few people realise how much you’re carrying yourself.
Your mind never stops. You’re always analysing, planning, worrying, or replaying conversations, leaving you feeling anxious and mentally exhausted.
Despite everything you’ve achieved, self-doubt or impostor syndrome still leave you questioning whether you’re really good enough.
You set impossibly high standards for yourself. Perfectionism and people-pleasing make it difficult to say no, ask for help, or feel satisfied with what you’ve accomplished. Even your successes rarely feel like enough.
You struggle to focus, stay organised, or follow through on things that seem to come easily for everyone else. You’ve started wondering whether ADHD, burnout, or chronic stress might explain why life feels so much harder than it looks.
You’re exhausted from holding it all together. Constantly pushing through has left you feeling drained, and somewhere along the way, you’ve started to lose confidence in yourself.
Somewhere along the way, coping became your normal. You’ve almost forgotten what it feels like to truly switch off, enjoy your life, or feel as good on the inside as your life looks on the outside.

MY NAME’S ROBIN
You don’t have to keep carrying it all on your own.
For so long, you’ve been the one who keeps everything moving. But therapy can be a place where you don’t have to perform, hold everything together, or figure it all out by yourself. I help high-achieving professionals better understand themselves, overcome the patterns keeping them stuck, and build a life that feels calmer, more balanced, and more fulfilling, on the inside as well as the outside.
What you can expect from therapy with me
Not just listening
Working together with purpose
I’ll take the time to understand what’s going on for you, but I won’t just sit back and listen. I’ll ask questions, share what I notice and gently challenge you when I think a different perspective could be helpful.
Not just insight
Putting what you learn into practice
Understanding yourself matters, but insight alone doesn’t always create change. We’ll turn what we discover in sessions into practical experiments and strategies you can use in your work, relationships and everyday life.
Not just focusing on what’s wrong
Understanding the whole picture
We’ll make sense of the patterns that are keeping you stuck, while also recognising the strengths behind much of what you’ve achieved. We’ll build on those strengths so you can do more than simply keep pushing through.
Not one-size-fits-all CBT
Therapy built around you
I specialise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, but I won’t try to fit you into a rigid format. We’ll work together to understand what’s going on for you, so we can focus on what needs to change and how you can move forward.
MY SPECIALTIES
Support for the ways success can start to feel unsustainable
Whatever you're facing, therapy can help you understand what’s happening and begin making meaningful changes. Explore the areas I most often help clients with below.
Work Stress
When work demands never seem to let up, it's easy to feel like you're constantly holding everything together. Therapy can help you manage stress, set boundaries, and find a balance without losing sight of the ambitions and values that matter most to you.
Anxiety
When your mind never seems to switch off, daily life can feel exhausting. Therapy can help you break free from worry, overthinking, and self-doubt so you can spend less time caught up in anxious thoughts and more time fully engaged in the life you want to live.
Impostor Syndrome
Despite everything you've achieved, you still find yourself questioning whether you're good enough. Therapy can help you challenge self-doubt, recognise your strengths more clearly, and build confidence from within that isn't dependent on constant achievement.
ADHD in Midlife
Whether you've recently been diagnosed or have long wondered why life feels harder than it seems for everyone else, therapy can help you better understand your brain, feel less overwhelmed, and develop strategies that work with you rather than against you.
Getting started is simpler than you think
1
BOOK A FREE CONSULTATION
We’ll talk about what’s been difficult and what you’d like to change. I’ll explain how I work, and you can decide whether I’m the right person to support you.
2
UNDERSTAND WHAT’S KEEPING YOU STUCK
Together, we’ll make sense of what’s been difficult, whether that’s stress, anxiety, self-doubt or feeling overwhelmed, and identify the patterns that may be contributing to it. We’ll then agree what to focus on and how we’ll approach it.
3
MOVE FORWARD WITH CONFIDENCE
Using CBT, we’ll explore new ways for you to think and respond, then put them into practice in your everyday life. Over time, you can feel calmer, trust yourself more and handle life’s pressures with greater confidence.
In-person and online therapy to fit around your life
Two options, same goal: making therapy work for you.
If you prefer meeting face-to-face in a calm, private space away from the distractions of everyday life, I offer sessions in two Liverpool locations:
Rodney Street (Liverpool city centre) – convenient if you’re coming from work or travelling into the city centre.
Ullet Road (south Liverpool) – a quieter setting away from the hustle of the city centre.
Or, if travelling feels like one more thing to fit into an already busy week, we can meet online via secure Zoom sessions. You can join from the privacy of your own space, without the additional time and travel of getting to an appointment.
